“Innovative. Digital. Sustainable.” was this year’s motto of VDA’s Technical Congress which took place in Berlin in late March. At Europe’s most important automotive industry meeting, decision-makers, specialists and executives as well as politicians and scientists listened to speeches by Transport Minister Volker Wissing and Schaeffler Automotive CEO Matthias Zink, among others. “Quality Intelligence” was the main theme of the Quality 2023 conference, which took place in Düsseldorf at the beginning of March. Speeches on quality and data systems, data analytics, big data, digital quality management and much more provided the basis for lively discussions. “Success factor sustainability” was the subject of this year’s conference organized by Automobilwoche at the Munich Motorworld. “Quality in times of global changes” was the topic of the 18th Quality Summit of the German automotive industry in Berlin. After two years without the summit as a face-to-face event, the discussions among quality managers of OEMs, suppliers and service providers were all the more intense. Around 200 market researchers and representatives of the marketing, advertising and communication sector met at the annual congress of German market research association BVM in Frankfurt/Main in June 2022. Consline AG has expanded its Intelligence Management System CIMS® in the current version 6.0 into a modular analysis platform for all types of internal and external quality data: All quality and product safety-related data and information from quality management, production, warranty, complaint management, after sales and online customer communities can be monitored across processes and evaluated with regard to error accumulations and patterns. The merging of the various data sources across all customers and markets leads to a real control and early warning system for quality management.
